Sounds like a must see for Berks Co. fans! I particulary want to see the Schreit rifle up close.

What a show! I must get down to PA and see this!

For those of you who cant get to Reading, I might mention the BERKS COUNTY LONGRIFLES & GUNMAKERS Exhibit will offer a 4 color throughout, hardbound book showing all of the 54 firearms in the Exhibit... no price yet. But I can alert the Forum as to price and ordering details when we get it.

Patrick,
Any more info on the opening day gunmakers seminar?
-
I wish I could tell you that you would learn something you didn't already know about Berks County guns-but I'm afraid I can't.
The opening seminar I will give, will be for the benefit of the many members of the Berks County Historical Society and the general public - to that extent it is essentially a quick overview for an interested newbiel audience.
It is primarily a review of the guns in the Exhibit and how each region of the County made very different styled guns... the same material one gets in the Exhibit book in more depth and for those seasoned collectors that book and viewing the guns themselves may tell them something...but not necessarily my seminar.
Thanks for asking...
