Title: versitile clamp #304
Post by: jerrywh on January 01, 2021, 04:46:49 AM
This clamp really holds tight and it will not mar the steel or deform it.  2 steel rods .150 in diameter hold the aluminum bars together and in alignment. This clamp is also a good heat sink for welding pieces like this. The silver decoration on the front of the trigger guard is soldered with three different temps. of solder and the lowest temp solder is 450 degrees. When this is done the trigger guard will be niter blued. The temp for bluing will be close to 600F and the silver part must not come unsoldered. Go figure. Make one you will love it.

Great idea.  I m going to try one with 1.5-inch wooden dowels for some brass work.
