Title: KRA Application
Post by: Ats5331 on May 20, 2021, 05:33:56 AM
Hi all,

I am submitting my application for KRA membership. Does anybody know what address I send my completed application in to?

Best,

Allen

You know that in addition to your application , you need to be sponsored and endorsed by 2 members in a written form .
Then it gets sent to the board for review .

Didn't you also have to have a collection that was reviewed as well? That is what stopped me.

Thanks all for your answers. I have a sponsor and endorser, as well as a small collection.

The KRA has relaxed the collection criteria some. When I joined I only had a couple of antique rifles but I qualified as having a collection. Now, I don't think you have to have a collection but you still have to write a detailed essay of your interest in collecting and knowledge of the Long rifle.

If you live close enough, or can travel to the annual meeting, it's well worth the joining hassle. Seems most all the great guns belong to KRA guys, and you'll find some real eye-poppers on the display tables!  ;D

@John I have been to the KRA several times, as my father is a member. It is one of the most spectacular shows I have ever attended.
