Hello, I am a new member and can't figure out how to attach photographs to a post. The images are stored in my computer and I can browse them but when I click on UPLOAD a long string of code appears on the post instead of the image. Would appreciate if someone can walk me through the steps required to attach photos. Thanks.

When you open your post there is an option at the bottom of the page that says "• Add image to post". Click on that and it should bring up another window that says "browse from your computer",,,,,
-
After you get the long string of code click either the preview box or the save box.
-
When you get this string of code the picture is there. Once you hit post it will be a picture in your post. You can click preview and scroll up to see it before posting. Welcome to the board by the way.

Thanks to members who replied and for their advice. I think I can proceed now.

Welcome compassneedle. Your question brought back memories as I did the same. Even now I struggle sometimes to remember how to do it but the prompts usually get me back on track.

Looking forward to seeing what pictures you post. Since you posted in the antique section I can only guess.

Robby,
I moved your reply from this thread to the thread titled "Longrifle Identification" that contains the pictures that Compassneedle was trying to post. Here's a link.... https://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=70973.0
