Title: school of gunmaking

My ancestors came from the area around Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Northhampton. What is an appropriate rifle for that place.

Reality was lower end for the most part.

Reality, what a bummer.  It's what alcohol is for.
Follow Mike's advice and check out Allen Martin and Eric Kettenburg's websites.  You could always buy the KRA Cds for Lehigh Valley, Moravian made rifles, and eastern PA or any of Bob Lienemann's books on Moravian gunmaking.
