Title: Bucks Co. side opening patch box hinge
Post by: StevenV on September 07, 2022, 07:44:38 PM
I searched for info on this, found how to make hinge for " regular " patch box. That I can do , when the hinge is as long as a side opening patch box , how are you bending the sheet brass? Anybody have some pics or info to get two hinges about 4-5 " long? Thanks StevenV

Same techniques, just more length and more knuckles. There are a couple different styles of side-opening boxes but you’re probably looking at the Verner/Shuler type where the knuckles are raised above the plane of the lid.
