Title: Central PA is still good gun terriory-Roop
Post by: jwh1947 on November 06, 2009, 01:05:52 AM
Since Roop seems to be in the present thread, Nov. 8, another Roop up for auction.  If I am not mistaken, this one has no patchbox, Golcher lock and double set triggers.  Also a reported Gibbs of Lancaster going off.  Paladin Auctions, Annville, PA (717) 991-7000 for further info. Plus about 100 other old guns, not Kentuckys going off.  That's two Roops within 20 miles of my shop in 2 days.  Gosh, I love central Pennsylvania. JWH

Good day for the auctioneer.  $2000 for the Roop w/o box.  Block letter signature was not consistent with what I am used to seeing.  Plain Jane fowler with a Gibbs back-action lock...$1000.  Add 10% buyer's premium to above.  Somebody liked them a lot more than I did.
