There’s some bargains to be had nowadays!

You may have to dig around for the November 15-16 auction.

I was interested in #1101, but it must have been removed before the auction.

This one was a doozy.

It seems like there were a few that went way over the high estimate and everything else was under or near the low estimate
I won a Haslett silver mounted fowler for a good deal.

Wonderful fowler and an amazing deal.

Thanks. It seems to only have one pipe, which makes me wonder if it had the barrel shortened at some point. I have an English one that was shortened and whoever did it moved the pipes, but the rib still has rhe cuts for their prior location. The stock seems a little long for the barrel as well. In any case the remaining pipe appears to be jammed on the ramrod near the entry pipe, so that will be a minor repair.

Yeah, the lock was worth that.

I thought lot 1138 was a good deal. Straight rifling. A lot of nice Maryland rifles were reasonable too.

I threw a low bid on the Rigby long range rifle and apparently no one in the live auction bid against me. Did not dream that I would win it. Went pheasant hunting that day and at the end of the afternoon got a text from a buddy in AL that someone got a steal. Ended up being me. It sold for 25% of the last one that we know of at auction a year or two ago.
I have heard that in England and perhaps other places in Europe you can no longer use lead shot, even for trap shooting. As the result, apparently the market price over there for old shotguns is dropping fast.
That is two Rigby's in one week, with the one I bought at Tulsa. I think I finally have my wife well trained. She just laughed at me on Wednesday when I told her I accidently bought another gun.
