Hello! Here is a recently finished rifle, it's Lancaster inspired with a 42 inch .50 caliber swamped barrel and German silver hardware. The lock is an L&R large siler, tuned, with a trigger pull of just under 2 pounds. Rob DeStefano requested this rifle to be built. And it now resides at home with him.

OOPS - I forgot about the rod, dang.
My previous suggestion won't work from the inside due to the ram rod.
You'll have to try the ultra-thin from the outside.Have a piece of cloth ready to wipe off the surface in a fast/rapid motion. Do not stop or the cloth will be glued to the surface.
CA can work very quickly- especially when you don't want it to. Paper is not a good idea. Use cloth - a thick denim or canvas would be best.
No rod in the pipes when you do this, or it will be glued into place.
I repaired a crack in this manner and it worked perfectly.

Nice looking rifle! That has all the details, caliber, barrel style, that I would like to put into a rifle myself. One of these days.
Odd I can see the one picture in the other post, but these don’t come up for me.

Beautiful rifle! Too bad about the crack but I'm sure it got fixed. Is your customer a bladesmith?

I am happy that you appreciate the gun! This is my personal favorite look, it's become a sort of main stay when I build. If it helps, I like alot of moravian guns, and am very partial to early Lancaster styles. Find a style you like and either copy it or make your it own style, that's what the makers back in the day would have done! Most of all, enjoy it and don't worry about every detail
