I was there from 5 to 15 years of age. North side 1970's.

City boys ;) My people were from Santa Fe / Leiper's Fork :)
Nothing beats a real Tennessee cured country ham!

How do you pronounce "Santa Fe"? ;)

Bear in mind that the auction details say "must be picked up - will not ship."
It is an intersting one, I wish the tang wasn't rusted out. Would have liked to see if it's a dolls head.

If the auction house is close to a shipper, you might be able to get them to act as your agent to pick up, pack & ship.

I'm patiently waiting for Cades Cove Fiddler to comment. I'm certain he's sojourned through Columbia a time or two.
Is that a hooked breech I see?

Down at the bottom of the page, the auction states; "If you wish to arrange shipping with the UPS Store or Navis Pack & Ship we will deliver your items to them at no additional charge."
You will be responsible for packing and shipping.
Sounds fair enough.

In MURRY county (and Marshall too of course) it's pronounced "FEE".
Also, there's a big town in NM, where it's "FAY". I was born out there because of the USAF. Bernalillo County. I say "Fee" for Tennessee and "Fay" for reference to out West or the RR.
As with all names, local usage is proper in my book. At some point most of those place names were the names of people, and people pronounce the same spellings differently in the same language. This is largely determined by location and how the name was know when that person was yet around, or his/her family.
edit: I had to learn the local pronunciations of several roads and crossroads of Cannon County when I moved here. The old timers helped me out. Now I pass along the help. Of note: Readyville, Geedesville/Geedsville (depending on the map), Basham, Sheybogan, Curlee, and a few others.

Looks like a floor bidder got it for $825. Hopefully it's someone we know and maybe we can see it up close and personal at one of the shows nearby.
