Great forged furniture.  That guard is top notch.  I need to take a class from this guy someday.

Hey thank you, that one was a simpler rifle, but real fun to make. Kind of a "minimalist" gun compared to some. In fact I am working on one now that is a true mimimalist rifle, after I eat lunch I'll go get a picture of it and post it here this evening

Ian,
Another great great mountain rifle.  The lines and hardware are great.

Ian,
Great looking rifle.  The simple ones are the ones where good architecture shows the most.  Great execution.

I think there is a Golden Mean violation here.  Ian, please contact Strange Larry.

The stock is a little rough I'll confess, but I was really trying to to convey kind of a real primitive feel, something so earthy that you'd swear it grew out of the ground. I have been making more of these undecorated guns lately, and strangely enough as each one becomes simpler it becomes more complex to make. The moss alone took me several months to make and put in place.     I think see now that it's the techniques I must simplify, and the results I am looking for may follow. Maybe try piling some wood and nails on the floor and set it on fire, see what happens.
So yes, this new gun is an overworked mess, I'll admit it. It's not the easisest thing to shoulder either.

Greg There's no Golden Mean violation, you have to set the dividers in the right spot to start. Keep flipping man, you'll find it.
