Title: Interesting American Pennsylvania? Fowler
Post by: Shreckmeister on October 09, 2023, 10:35:52 PM
I’d like to know the region it came from?
Riddle lock. Found in the 1980s by a collector in Clarion PA

This is certainly later and in different directions from my interest but WOW those lock panels and the overall aesthetic look is really cool (like a Cadillac with fins  8) ). Thanks for sharing.

The lock panels are reminiscent of John Sherry Jr and it came out of his county. The octagon to round barrel in a percussion gun have me stumped.

My guess is it is a restock using old fowler barrel and furniture and incorporating a then modern back action lock.  A very cool piece. Stylish!

The mounts look very Belgian or Dutch to me. Probably were with the barrel on the original gun. It's quirky, I like it.
