Here in the UK my local auction have a 40 calibre Kentucky type percussion rifle by Spencer Stafford any body have any info on this maker.
The gun is original and looks as though it was a flinter converted to percussion with a drum and nipple it is in poor condition the wrist is broken and repaired with pewter sheet wrapped around the wrist ,the stock is curly maple .If the price is reasonable I may bid on it.

Frank Sellers' American Gunsmiths, lists "Stafford, S & H, unlocated, flintlock Kentucky". That's as close as I could find.

Gun was sold today at auction for £420 sterling plus commission .A bit too pricey for me it needed a lot of restoration
