I have recently been gifted this flint lock pistol from my grandfather. He does not know anything about it. All I have been able to read is P. Bond, Cornhill London.
It seems like my grandfather at one point has tried to clean it to be able to read it.
Any help on trying to learn more about the pistol would be great!
Thank you.

Phillip John Joseph Bond, London
I will PM you images with information on him from Blackmore's books.

Congrats on the pistol, it appears to be a very nice original piece.

yes, very nice pistol. And it's in great condition too. We'll not fault your grandpa for trying to clean up the identifying marks. The fact that it is still around is a treat.
Thanks for sharing it here.
