Title: Beaded strike a light bag
Post by: MeliusCreekTrapper on February 19, 2024, 12:14:22 AM
Just finished up this little bag for the wife. Beaded on stiff leather. Trimmed with hand rolled tin cones, made from old powder cans.

Nice work!  Got half a bajillion beads on there - many chances to needle-stick yourself.

Love the cones.  Did you blue them somehow?

Just a few finger sticks. Have to pre punch the holes on this thick leather. I made an awl from a small glovers needle and a deer tine.

The cones are rolled by hand, then i heat them to orange with a torch. That removes the paint and darkens them.
