A throwong hawk made from an old hatchet.
My eldest daughter has well grown kids but still likes 'hawk throwing.
Remembered she hinted for one two years ago, so made it for her for Christmas.

Nice work!
I hope she liked it! Nice running fox. A nice play on the Passau running wolf.

Truly outstanding!

Thank you gents, pleased you like it!
I put eyes/faces on it so it could see where it was going!

Really nice work, Richard. 8)

It’s too pretty to throw! Just beautiful work.

TDM,
Emma said the same thing....but she does throw it!
Made her a throwing block with legs that can be removed so she can take the whole shooting match with her.
ATB,
Richard.

There’s no other “throwing hawk” like this one! Agreed that it’s just too beautiful to be tossing into a log! Fantastic work 😍

Bob,
I have seen lots of 'hawk blocks suspended from chains and other nasty stuff.
I don't think it would like to eat chain, but won't be any bother digesting wood!
Pleased you like it sir.

She should be proud...what did you use to engrave the axe head?
-
That looks like it wants to stick!

Morning gents,
Aaron,
I just used normal chaising gravers for this heavy work. Mostly home made types.
When I say heavy, I mean just bold lines, not much fine work or shading.
Glad you like it all.
