Sorry, I can’t help but I feel certain that someone will recognize that work because it’s a dandy horn and it doesn’t appear to be a first attempt in my opinion.

Curt,

I haven't got a clue. Very nice architecture and engraving, but nothing that I see as a distinguishing mark that would identify the maker.

The engraving is after the Calvin Hezah horn in Dresslar's book, pages 202-203, which is a misattribution. It is now know to be Hezekiah Calvin's horn, a native american and Atichpillake was native owned property in New Jersey. At any rate, the original shows stunning architecture and engraving.

Before I became aware of the misattribution, the engraving struck me as being from "two worlds". Indeed it is as Hezekiah was a very troubled soul caught between two 18th century cultures.

It wasn't me.  Just helping narrow it down.

It’s a wonderful horn. It really captures the feeling of an old original, to me. The wild turkey is just great.
