Title: ID "Original" 1763 French Pistol

Received in an auction. Seller designated as an original French 1763 Libreville. 69 cal. 9" Smoothbore. Action is crisp and works. But don't think I want to fire it.

 Looks like the wrong hammer on it.  Otherwise it should be shootable. That's not how the French hammers were made

More like the last pistol but flat .Here's a pic of a musket of the same vintage.

I’m curious why it has such a huge barrel band. Looks like they took it off a musket!
