Post by: BillF/TRF on April 22, 2024, 09:08:44 PM
Has anyone found a supplier of percussion caps?  Either Remington or CCI would work for me.  thanks

As a follow-up on my question, I have found a brand of percussion caps called RWS (European made?) that are available from a US supplier but know nothing about their quality.  Anyone familiar with this brand and how it compares with CCI or Remington?  Thanks.

In my opinion, the RWS caps are of excellent quality. I've used thousands of them without a hitch.

They are excellent quality and come from Germany.

I've been using RWS caps since 1972 and they are excellent caps. I would place them above either CCI or Rem. The last Remington & CCI caps I bought,
had the odd cap missing it's charge, which are loose in the tin.  That NEVER happened with RWS caps I used to buy by the sleeve.

Rottweil-Westphal-Sinoxid=RWS. , a German maker and I have used a lot of them with no misfires and they are non corrosive.
I have used their primers in BPCR loading and no problems with fit or performance. If you can get their caps,do it,

Same as the others, I used them when I was doing CW reenactments, excellent caps.

Years ago I bought some RWS caps on traders row at the NMLRA Western National Shoot because I had left my Remington,s back at the place I was staying  in Phoenix , 16 miles away and they performed very well and consistantly.
