Found this old rifle in family members estate. Have no clue who made it! Smoothbore barrel measuring exactly 36. Octagonal to round furthest toward muzzle wedding ring is dead on 12. Bore measures 11/16 diameter (cant find my calipers). Two weird embedded index marks at breach end of barrel. From outer edge to outer edge the marks are about 15/16 apart. Any info or clues appreciated!

Take the barrel out and look at the bottom. You'll probably find Belgian proof stamps.

Thanks, I was thinking European. Off goes the barrel.
