I finally got around to making some more wood handled turn screws that fit in a shot pouch. I gave my mine away a couple years back and had another one I made for myself and sold it before I used it. I'm going to keep one of these for myself and leave my good stuff at home the next CLA show.

Looks great Brian.
Good idea to leave one home!
Thanks for sharing.

Looks good and great idea to keep them short, but functional.

I really like everything about them. Not sure I've ever seen that same style. I've got some tool steel that I've been meaning to use for a couple of new turn screws next time I get my forge going. Hope you don't mind if I try to copy one of yours.

TDM, not at all.

Well, now I know who made the ones I have. I have 2 or 3 of them and I think I bought them from Curt Lyles several years ago. They all look exactly like the one on the right. Is Your mark typically on it? My favorite turnscrew!

I did attempt to copy your beautiful screwdrivers. Unfortunately, my cap pouring skills are low and I don’t think what I was using was actually pewter. Anyway, I was able to salvage what was left. I ground the head to fit both my large and small flintlock jaw screws.

Scottmc I do usually have a touch mark on the blades. These don't because I couldn't find it the day these were forged. My mark is a "B" in an oval. If they came from Curt they could be mine. He told me he bought some of my work from another flintlock shooter.
TDM looks like the turn screw will serve you well.
