Just came across this video of a gunsmith. He may have other videos that one can glean a tip or two. He’s a bit heavy handed with the wire wheel for my taste though.

Love those clamps he is using. The right tools make it so much better!!

I also noticed he still applied some solder during the heat application.

Richard, I spent an afternoon with Mr. Zimmerman in his shop a few years back when I was in Harper's Ferry.  He really knows his stuff!  He is also the fellow I purchased my arsenal stamped "torque screwdriver" from.

Curtis I just saw this reply after I posted on your Hawken build. That tool is in great condition, I would not have passed on it tool.
