Title: No. 220, new bag
Post by: EricEwing on August 05, 2024, 03:48:42 PM
Here’s a new piece of of work. A bit of wearable folk art made from a fat-tanned possum hide (including paws and tail), some vegetable-tanned deer hide, textile and an antique buckle.
This will be on display at the Contemporary Longrifle Association show this weekend in Lexington.

Thanks!

How was he? Like, his personality and lifestyle before I removed his skin and made it into a bag? Or after, as in how was it to work with possum hide?

"How was the possum?"  ...as in (maybe) was it tasty?

ah gotcha.  I refrained from eating this guy.  He was quite a large old boar, I can't imagine he was especially tasty....

They might look old, but they are never "old". They only live about 1-2 years typically.
