That's a great rifle and I'm glad to see it here.  Thanks, guys.

Also, from the pictures it appears to have a hooked breech.  Never noticed that in the other photos I've seen of it.  At least you can see light through between the rear of the barrel and the tang.

This is a fantastic rifle!  I got to see it in person at the CLA show in 2008.  I had only seen it in Jerry Nobles books and admit, I thought it was a bit gawdy and too busy.  Not the case at all, it is truly a fantastic southern rifle and now one of my favorites.  Pictures just don't do it justice.  Great to see it shared here.
