Title: Lamp Post Long Rifle

Post by: 45-110 on December 01, 2024, 09:40:38 PM: Its amazing what people once did to "old" rifles. I once bought a really nice 1819 Halls flint rifle that been made into a floor lamp. After removing all the $#@* and filling buttstock wiring hole it was a good shooter.

Post by: frizenspring on December 15, 2024, 09:28:39 PM: I've seen a few other Lamp Post lights in years past but they were all CW muskets. Here is one that is a table lamp that is made out of what was once a great Frederick Sell kentucky. The flying dragon patchbox, trigger guard, and possibly the butplate are the only original parts and are mounted on a 1850s vintage stock with percussion lock. A tragic end of what was a beautiful rifle. The parts could be completely rebuilt as a copy of a Sell rifle but you would still have a new made rifle so better to enjoy it as a relic. Looks great in the man cave
