I bought this group in March, 2016, in Frederick, Maryland, from an antique dealer in a mall who stated the seller was liquidating his local family estate. IIRC I added the mold, cast the ball (.40cal) and connected the measures with the leather thong for display and possibly (?) replaced one of the round shoulder strap rings. The leather certainly shows use but fortunately no red rot. Enjoy.
Reference: “While not entirely confined to the East, the double pouch is generally associated with this region. This construction offers durability, two for one space and the advantage of less fumbling for materials during hurried loading. The double pouch can be of any shape.” (“The Kentucky Rifle Hunting Pouch” Madison Grant, page 7, Figure B).
