Hello.
Is anyone familiar with a gun maker working in the 1990’s (and likely in the 80’s) by the last name of “Troehler” or “Troehier”? I recently picked up a fusil with above average workmanship from 1992 that carried the signature below.
Thanks.

Might be Herb

Hi, Smylee- It is a very similar name to mine, but I've never seen it before. I Googled it, and there are a lot of Troehlers.

Hi Herb. Yes I just checked the spelling. A couple of letters off. Close but no cigar ! Hope your doing well. I will be going west in a couple weeks and will be driving right past the old shooting range at Cooperstown and might stop in to visit if any thing is going on. Take care. :)

Came from west central Ohio. So my guess is the builder would likely be somebody from Ohio, Indiana or Michigan - pre-internet. Maybe PA, since it looks to have been a Centermark kit.

I’ve heard of that name around Ohio Amish country.

That "T" could be an "F".......
