Jacob Harder was a prolific maker of percussion guns of all types (see below; most photos were taken by Bill Paton). Anecdotal comments mention that he "made pistols" or "made cased dueling pistols", but in all my many years of collecting I have not seen or read of a documented example of any pistol. Likewise , Harder's business envelope from the early 1860's states, "Manufacturer of guns, pistols and sporting utensils...". Does anyone know of any documented examples of any pistol made by Jacob Harder?
