A month or so ago, I bought a batch of half finished powder horns on this site.
I decided I needed a horn to carry Fg powder in and I didn't want to drill out one of my good horns for that purpose.
So, there was a horn that had been started with a Treso brass pour spout in it, engrailed, and did not have a baseplug installed.
Well, the pour spout would do the job just fine, but I am not much of a fan of engrailed horns so I sanded that off, and I wanted to just have a flat walnut baseplug on it with a staple for the strap.
Here is how it turned out. I guess I should have taken a before photo of it, but I was in a hurry.

Not the best work I have ever done, but probably not the worst, either. Regardless, it will do just fine.

Looks like a well made, serviceable horn. -- JB
