I had posted previously the rifle to learn more about The gun smith Johnson Toppin. It had lost its original sights along its journy to me. These where what i came up with.

I started w a rear sight blank and ground the base thinner and lowered the height of the sight plane. I fit a new brass front sight base an silver brazed a silver barlee corn bump blade in place. I did a minie Herschel boil the bejesus out of the finished rear sight using a greenbean can and a one serving black olive can you see here. They will get the job done.
