Title: Local 1830's Gunmaker Jacob Earnest in Nat'l Reg. Historic Places
Post by: Steeltrap on May 30, 2025, 09:51:30 PM
The little Borough of Delmont Pennsylvania was where Gunmaker Jacob Earnest setup his shop. Now, almost 200 years later, he and his workplace will be officially listed in "The National Register of Historic Places".

Most may not know of Delmont, but to me it's local. I just drove through it earlier today.

Here's the newspaper clip, and the story link:

They do a good job with this.

For the picky eye, I just wish they had used a proper Western PA or Earnest profile on the plaque! Lol.

Great job to the Delmont Historical Society. Made me proud to group up right next door in Murrysville!
