I am looking for a better means of storing my collection. For the last thirty years I have been using a 60" Knack box. The 60" is required by the length of a M1795 Springfield (1808 dated). I would prefer horizontal drawer storage. I keep all rifles in gun socks.
About a year ago I contacted the Cody Firearms Museum on who built there drawer storage systems. They used a company dedicated to museum storage solutions, StabaArts. I also have looked at Lyon Workspace Solutions and Industrial Shelving Solutions.
I have considered designing and building my own, but I would rather not do that if there is a purchasable solution.
Does anyone have any suggestions one sourcing drawer storage cabinets?
I don't consider peg storage on a wall as discussed in a thread from 2014 reasonable

Sorry, the post with the slat storage and gun display was removed. (Modern guns)

Thought this might be of interest to many here, it is not horizontal or cheap, but fwiw the double door XL version of the Hornady Mobilis safes have the interior dimensions listed below and are almost 66 inches high inside.
Interior Capacity 42 in X 65.9 in X 27.5 in.
I even found a non offensive picture of one empty of anything Eugene Stoner related
