Greetings Everyone,
A "C. Beck" signed rifle was auctioned off yesterday 6/20/2025. Hammer price was $2,531 plus fees/taxes.

Shelby is right. Nothing about that rifle is C. Beck.

Been trying to post a C Beck signature on a poorly rebuilt rifle I have but no luck
-
I' havn't look to see what a C. Beck signature looks like but this one looks very crisp to me. If I was buying it the signature and the carving on the cheek side would need a very close look . Jim

Fake.

I know nothing of C. Beck's work but is the entire rifle a fake? Just my two cents but it sure looks like perhaps an original rifle that once had absolutely no adornment at all has been "enhanced" with poor relief carving, a bad brass-black patina, and overall refinishing. Oh, and then there's that scraggly signature.

Buck, I was trying to be diplomatic.
