Hi, Please comment on my powder horn it was purchased in America in 1973 I am in Australia, any idea's as to it's age

I am surprised that you purchased this horn in America. Based on its inset flat plug with toothed basal rim below the plug, as well as the angled incised lines decorating the two spout sections, I would have placed this horn in Australia, possibly England as a second place of origin, probably around 1820-1830.

Thank you Tanselman for your comments, you may be right as I purchased it from an Australia Dealer who went to the US twice a year on buying trips, I just assumed he purchased it in the US. It could be Australian
