Title: A simple line engraved horn
Post by: Bob Gerard on June 27, 2025, 04:12:15 PM
I just finished this horn (93), which is a little different in engraved style than my others (I like experimenting). I had been looking at some old horns and like how the engravings on them are simple “flat lines” as I call them. No variation in line thickness or use of shading. It’s not easy for me to do this for some reason but think I got it with this one.
I really went to town with the nozzle and removed a lot of material down to a nice graceful shape, leaving a thick band at the tip for reinforcement.
Here are a few pictures.
