Title: Simple New Horn inspired by an Old Simple Horn
Post by: Kevin on July 13, 2025, 11:29:40 PM
I finally got this horn I finished earlier this year in front of the camera.

It was inspired by this old horn that I was gifted:

Both are about 13 inches along the outside curve.  This is the first time I had an old horn lying on the bench to serve as a guide for a project.

Enjoy,
Kevin

I like how skinny you got the neck. That's always a bit nerve racking trying to see how far you can push your luck. Great job!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I just measured the necks of both the old and new horns.  Both are right at 9/16" in one direction and closer to 1/2" ninety degrees from the other measurement.
