Hi Guys, one of my rifles has a Chambers oil finish. In a rush I did not do many coats and the finish after a bit of use shows that. As it is now especially the cheek piece show the most wear is the any product you could recommend to remove any sweat, oils or waxes from the finish before adding any new finish?
Thank you!
Richard

I "re-finished" a couple of guns I did in Chambers oil. Give them a wash/scuff using mineral spirits with degreased 4-0 steel wool. Then re-apply the Chambers oil. I believe I did 7-8 finger coats. They looked better than when new.

Thanks Tommy, I’ll give it a whirl.
