Title: Source for pre-carved, Ohio half stock, with dual beaver tail cheek pieces?
Post by: WalnutRed on August 11, 2025, 04:54:18 AM
I know Pecatonica offers one with straight cheek pieces. I don't think I'm up to carving one from a plank but I'm starting to acquire parts for a squirrel rifle. 36 caliber, mule ear lock, walnut half stock. This rifle will be #3 on my to do list so I'm in no hurry but if anyone knows of a source for a stock I'd appreciate the lead.

Thanks

Pecatonica (or others)may be able to do one if you call them.  If you don't want it inlet for the lock that may simplify things.  of course it may raise the price a bit (more machine and man time and it would be a one-off)

It's been over a decade since I visited Pecatonica, so don't know if they've upgraded their duplicator to be more automated or not.

Thanks, Pecatonica might be my best chance. I don't need the lock inletted but barrel channel would be nice.
