They say the older you get, you start to lose it. I think it's opposite for you. That is one nice horn!
-
Very nice.
If you wanted to post some more photos of that scrimshaw, I'm sure no one here would be disappointed!

Very nice attractive horn indeed.

Thanks Scott. I kept the first copy I made 12 years ago and I can see some differences. At 83 a bit of the "shakes" have set in. Still enjoy the horn work though.

Thanks. Busy right now but I'll get a few more up with some comments on the original horn.

Fantastic work as always!!!!!

A Beauty John, you haven't lost a step, unfortunately I know what you mean about the "shakes". I have always been a fan of the braided stopper keepers that you do.

The scope of this kind of work boggles my mind. I can’t think how much time is spent on layout to make it all fit together as it did on the original.

Incredible work.

Here are a few more photos of John's horn. I had asked if he could provide some closeups of the scrimshaw, so he sent me some photos, which I've uploaded here with his permission. If you want to see a photo close up, just click on a photo and it will open again in a new window. Then click on that photo in the new window and it should enlarge. (Double click if necessary.)
