HI: I don't see a place to post this so i'll try here. Have any Canadians ordered and received any semi finished caplock kits from the USA? Did you have any problems? Dan

The Canadians have lots of problems, which I won't go into here. :D
Perhaps Taylor, Cody, Brian Dancey and Daryl will chip in at some point. By the way, Tip Curtis sells guns 'in the white' for very reasonable prices.

No problems importing a Hawken kit from Don Stith.

None whatsoever. When I started ordering parts from America around 1972, I spent a lot of time and money at Canada Customs, getting my parcels cleared. At one point in that history, our dollar dropped to 55 cents against the USD so you can imagine what that was like. Now, parts come straight to my door, delivered by a gorgeous 22 years old blonde woman, with a smile. I love getting parcels from America!! And our dollar is nearly at par.

Regarding percussion guns...it isn't a firearm until it is finished, at which time you are required to have it registered. Flintlock guns are exempt...so, engrave a serial number on the bottom flat, such as your date of birth, and the gun's number. I also engrave the date, like this...
