Anyone know what the Club is getting for powder out of the bunker at Friendship?
-
No, but I bet if you called the office they could tell you, They probably have two or three different kinds of powder that sell for different prices.

At the Spring Shoot Goex was $11.00 a pound and prices went up from there .
-
We think $16.00 and $17.00 per pound for a 25 pound bag is fantastic. Locally, it's $36.95 per #.
-
Swiss was $19.00 at the spring shoot.

I just paid $22.00 dollars for a pound of Goex. Goes to show it ain't gettin' cheaper to shoot.
-
A couple months ago I bought 10lbs of Goex from Powder, Inc., and paid $14.90 per lb.
-
I bought several pounds from Grafs for 11.50/# several months ago, at their warehouse, so no shipping.
I think Graf's powder is Wano, or Schutzen. Either way its good stuff.
-
I paid $18/ a pound at Heffley a couple weeks ago...
-
Harry - that's where Taylor and I bought the 2/25 pound bags at $16 and $17 per #. Now, we've enough to practise a bit this coming year. We all need practise, that's for sure.
Has anyone heard from Dutch Bill lately - is he well?
-
Dumb question:
What does the price of powder all over the world have to do with someone who wants to know the current price at Friendship.
-
Good price Daryl! I'll have to come prepared to buy next year!
-
Just curiosity, Dave - just curiosity. I also wanted to know what other people pay for powder.
-
10 bux a pound in bulk 25 lbs for goex, thats the clubs price, or 11 bux for a case of cans, the heck with powder, anybody seen what leads going for these days?
-
hehehe! Soon I'll be able to trade pound for pound!
-
I just bought a pound of 3f here in PA. for 17.99 .
-
I'm concerned about availability rather than cost. There are no gunshops or other retail stores in my state that sell black powder.Thats a bummer.
-
Bought 10 pounds today at 14.90 a can, delivered to my door. powderinc says it's going up the first of Oct.
-
Those that can't get powder locally might ought to consider becoming a vender, you would have the local market cornered. ;D

I bought a full case of Schuetzen 2F this spring for $75 if it makes anyone feel any better.
My shooting buddy found a Walmart in AR that ordered 100 cases of musket caps instead of 100 tins. He bought the whole batch, sold half to Dixie and tripled his money.
Ya gotta take bargains wherever you find them.
-
$75.00 for 25 pounds? Thats disgusting - way to go!

I wish it was that easy. The dealers all tell me that the problem is regulation.Actually over-regulation.The insurance, fire marshalls (very big difficulty here),police policies,ATF.local towns and municipalites, etc. all have repressive effects upon selling BP.The last remaining dealer told me that in spite of selling amost 1,000 lbs.last year,he still could not make a profit. His retail was about $18 + tax.No towns here want a gunshop or explosives seller in their domain.I suspect this will become a rapidly spreading disease.

We have a local BP dealer that lives out in the country and has avoided many of the local restrictions common to cities. As one that used to be a city clerk, I stayed living out in the country to avoid all the @!*% fool city regulations I had to enforce. Most are designed so that people can live in a concentrated area. As to getting BP, I ordered from Grafs last spring and got 5lbs for about $85.00 total, including Hazmat. You can always buy the "better" imitation powders like 777 or Pioneer at about $26.00 per pound here locally.

Looks as though we have to get a couple or three friends and share the cost of case lots and buy it from dealers such as Graf's etc. so long as they let us!!
Works for me! :)

Just a heads up... we just got an e-mail from Track of the Wolf GOex goes up 12% as of Oct. 1 !!
"TRACK OF THE WOLF"
"You may order GOEx Black Powder at the old pricing, until October 1.
GOEx announces a 12% price increase.
We sympathize with GOEx. Costs of fuel, labor, and materials are soaring.
Cost of compliance with Federal Regulations must be a nightmare.
We appreciate their good work, creating quality real black powder in the USA.
After Tuesday, September 30th, GOEx black powder prices will increase.
GOEx Fg, FFg, FFFg, and FFFFg pricing will be $14.43 lb. delivered cost.
GOEx Cannon, Cowboy, and Cartridge will be higher at $15.08 delivered cost.
GOEx Express, made with fine alder charcoal, will be $21.48 lb. delivered cost.
Orders received before October 1 will be billed at today's cheaper prices.
You must order one or two full cases of 25 cans, any mix of granulations.
Two cases, 50 pounds, is the maximum household possession, by Federal Law.
Order one or two cases today, and save 12% compared to October pricing.
Black Powder never spoils, never gets cheaper, and is safer than gasoline. "
