Title: H. Clemets 110602-4
Post by: nord on June 17, 2011, 03:04:45 PM
H Clements, from Warsaw Kentucky. This is a 40 calibre percussion. I can't find anything on him, I was told that he made locks and that this was made by somebody else but the barrel is also stamped H. Clements. The rifle was broken through the wrist and restored.

Comments:

I briefly owned one of these rifles, signed on both the barrel and lock. Mine was iron mounted rather than brass, was a halfstock, and was very well made.  The lock was definitely not a commercial lock and I believed it to have been made by Clements.
