Title: A Good Monday
Post by: valongrifles on November 19, 2011, 07:01:16 AM
Past Nov 7 was a good day in the woods. About 745AM a nice doe came by at about 60 yards. I took her with my replica Zorger flint; 45cal. The good scent of the smoke hung in the air for a long time. She went about 100 yards. I gutted her and was back with the truck in less than a half hour and the crows and a buzzard were already there for their share.  She will make some nice steak and bologna.  (https://americanlongrifles.org/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1127.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fl639%2Fvalongrifles%2FDSCN0010.jpg&hash=ca354e0e7b044bc4aefbf2157d19eff1fde9b306)

Backstraps sliced thin, coated with Cajun seasoning, and then pan fried in butter to medium-medium rare...mmmmmmmmm
