Is that a vestigial Indian/Lady Liberty on the wear plate?

That's a nice one.  I certainly would not go so far as to call it "the best" Jacob George rifle, as some of his surviving carved pieces certainly are finer rifles overall, however this one looks incredibly clean and sharp and definitely is the nicest plain George rifle I've seen yet.  Not only clean, but his architecture here is also very shapely and well-executed (something he did not always attain).

I would be extremely interested in seeing some closer pictures of the faces/heads engraved both forward of the guard and on the finial of the toeplate.  Highlights of the rifle!

I agree with Eric. I would like more, closer pics. Nice rifle. I like Berks Cty rifles.
