Post by: Madcaster on January 02, 2009, 07:24:06 AM
How many of you own hunting pouches by this fine craftsman and friend?

Madcaster,

I don't own one of Jim's bags, but he sure makes great looking bags.

I dont have any of Jim's pouches but I am sure I have some of his earlier measures folding forks, etc, here somewhere. Jim is a good friend and he took much time out for me when I was a teenager who was eager to tap his memory banks for southwest VA information and lore.

I've always admired Jim's bags and the tremendous amount of time he invests in some of them.  I had wanted one of his embroidered, double bags for some time and purchased one about three years ago.  The first time my wife laid eyes on it I knew I had a problem.  She continues to show it to her friends who embroider and they are always amazed to see that work done in leather.  A friend, story-teller and unique craftsman to say the least.

For those who have never seen a Jim Webb bag, here are some examples of his work.
