Title: S Odell double barrel
Post by: Elmo on March 17, 2013, 08:36:09 PM
When I was a lad, I am now 66, my father acquired a S Odell double barrel. I have no pictures and know nothing of what became of the firearm. It was built similar to the rifle pictured in this forum but without the back lock. It had the set triggers and silver furniture. It had a patent breech with a shotgun barrel side beside a rifle barrel. It used percussion ignition. If I remember correctly the shotgun was about 12 gauge and the rifle barrel was a .45 or .50 calibre. The ramrod was hickory and obviously a handmade replacement. There was also a cheek piece on the stock.
