Title: Bead on a fowler
Post by: stone knife on May 08, 2013, 01:34:08 PM
Does anyone have a bead for a front site on their fowling piece. Mine shoots dead on if I look directly at the barrel , the sight that i have on it is too much blade for how I need to point/aim. I was considering a bead instead.

File it to a nub and round over like the link below or remove altogether.

Drill the bbl. for 8-32 or 10-32 tap.  screw in a bolt with only a few thd on it, file off whats inside bbl. round off to your spec.   Most modern single bbls are done like this.   Works on mine.
