Title: German lock with "IR" cartouche ??

Posted the associated smooth rifle a couple of years back.  Gun and lock are unmarked except for the cartouche on the inside of the lockplate.  I have a added a couple of photos to this post hoping I can get some direction as to origin of the lock.  Anybody out there who has seen such a cartouche?

Cartouche appears to be "IR".  I assume that the "I" could be a "J".
Since to percussion conversion was bugging me, I re-converted.  Please don't be offended.
