Here are some horns I have finished up. The last one is one I did and my wife painted.

Beautiful work, Tim. The last one is very intriguing with the painted flourishes. All are very classy and classic!

Very nice looking horns!!

Oh my! :o

Tim - your Wife did a lovely job of that painted one. Very unique indeed! What kind of paints did she use on that? Did she actually use "paints" - or did she use dyes?

She used an acrylic resin on it. It is tough stuff but I'm sure it will wear with use, if it ever gets used. It is folk art style stroke work. It was entered at Dixon's last year, they liked the art work but my horn work was not up to snuff. She is a better artist than I am horner.

I really like your coloring on the horns. Do you use a standard stain or a secret mix? Either way they really look nice!

Okay Tim, now that I've got all the drool wiped up, which one you planning on taking to Dixon's this year. Seriously, the paint jobs look great and more than a few old horns had paint applied to them. Enjoy them all.

Thanks to everyone for the nice words on the horns.

PS: Constructive criticism is also welcome on anything I do. I am probably my own worst critic so yours will not hurt my feelings. TC
