wadepatton:  My error, I should have offered an indication of what the video was about.  Anyhow, if the enemy were behind trees/rocks......those brits would have been sitting/standing targets...I'll bet when rotation occured, the fellow in front felt like a sitting duck.....fella in back more secure.  I understand the purpose; but the logic????

The logic doesn't apply to even the 19th century. But 18th century you have people advancing at you firing multiple time??!?

Scary as the dickens!! Run!

That is a very well done and cool video.  Gets a bit more complicated with a longbarreled flintlock.  But the principle would work.
